We’ve done a lot of listening.

Since the world changed in February/ March, a lot of people have done a lot of talking: how we should do this, the best way to do that. Everyone seems to have a lot to say.

It’s a bloody confusing time for us business owners. With seemingly daily updates to rules and guidelines it’s tough to keep up… while we all also try to keep our businesses running.

Over the last month, we’ve done a lot of listening at Tax Assure. We’ve heard from many clients, as well as our partners and referrers about the challenges they (and their clients) are facing.

This is what we’ve been hearing:

  • Frustration navigating the ATO landscape of support, deferral options and stimulus measures. It feels confusing and complex.
  • It feels like a struggle to actually engage with the ATO: long phone queues**, slightly differing advice, and a perceived lack of clarity around eligibility and options.
  • It’s an unfeasibly time-consuming process, especially while trying to keep a business afloat.

  3. Deliver a report detailing current (and likely) tax debt position, including recommendations to optimise the next 3-6 months
